Brent Smith - Senior Foreman

A native of Maine, Brent has been with Fine Lines since 1996. A natural leader and master carpenter, Brent has earned a reputation for his willingness to take on the most difficult design projects and make them look easy. He motivates his crews with his own positive outlook and willingness to teach. An outdoorsman, golfer and family man, Brent does it all.

Ben MacDonald - Foreman

On board since 1998 and also a Maine native, Ben brings 10 years experience as carpenter to the crew. With his can-do attitude and great sense of humor, Ben is equally comfortable working with clients, crew members, and tackling the most difficult tasks. Andrew Munsey - Architectural Designer

Andy’s experience in architectural design ranges from drafting to project management. A graduate of Roger Williams University with a Bachelor of Architecture, he is a member of the American Institute of Architects and currently completing the Architectural Registration Examination. His strong technical skills are balanced with his passion for seeking creative solutions that meet the clients’ goals. He enjoys consulting with vendors, coordinating with the construction crews and working with clients. Andy’s expertise is wood construction – from fine woodwork details to structural assemblies – but his experience makes him adept in all aspects of the design and construction process.

Mike Maines - Architectural Designer

After graduating from Tufts University with a degree in Architectural Engineering, Mike spent several years working as a carpenter, cabinetmaker and designer in Boston and Nantucket, Massachusetts. A Maine native and former Fine Lines foreman, Mike now uses his keen eye for detail to design projects for Harborside.

Mike strives to design homes that are space and resource efficient and that fit their site, while meeting the homeowner’s needs. Because of his interest in energy efficiency and innovative building techniques, Mike is pursuing LEED-Accredited Professional status. He has published several articles in Fine Homebuilding magazine.

Paul Seaman - Architect

A Registered Architect with licenses in both Maine and Massachusetts, Paul’s background includes a broad range of design experience, most notably six years with Ralph Lauren, LLP in New York. As a Project Architect there, Paul worked with the department of International Store Development, opening flagship stores in Australia and Hong Kong. Prior to that, he designed furniture and accessories for product lines in the Ralph Lauren Home Collection.

Paul’s education includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design as well as a Masters in Architecture from Syracuse University. The depth of his background and education brings a strong design discipline to Harborside. Paul enjoys working with clients to bring both a sense of clarity and order to each project.
